Texas is a work at-will state. It is also the barbecue/bean state. If you live in Texas you’ve tried every type of bean possible. You’ve tried pinto beans, red beans, ranch style beans, black beans, refried beans and probably charro beans….If you live in Texas you have tried it ALL! I thought I have tested every type of bean on the planet living in Texas and being from a family of New Yorkers. That is until last week…..
I had for the very first time and have now fallen completely head over heels in love with, beans made in a brown sugar marinade. Oh my word! I am SOLD! I’m HOOKED! I am OBSESSED! As a matter of fact, as soon as I finish writing this I’m on my way to pick up more. I’m sorry, did you ask me where I was going? There is only one place in town you can get these beans and that is it BEE

I met her at a networking event and she was the caterer. Someone mentioned fajita’s and I was
excited and then I heard the phrase, “healthy food” and my expectations dropped below zero. In
my experience, healthy food means no taste, seasoning or texture. All “healthy food” is like colored
card board paper with no flavor and all the meats I have tried have been tough and hard to chew
unless you were some sort of carnivore out in the wild. Trust me when I say I have had my share of
food items that have attempted to pass as healthy and edible. I have attempted to consume gluten-
free chips, dairy free cheese and all the fake sugars and yet I have been unable to convince my
taste buds that any of it was good. However, one taste of these beans and I almost embarrassed
myself scarfing them down. I wanted more but knew I would eventually be asked to stop eating the
beans out of the serving dish. So I made myself a calendar reminder to pick up beans the following
day from her store. I also need to give a shout out to the fajita’s and brown rice that made an
appearance at the event. Nice cuts of tender beef and chicken sautéed with onions and bell
peppers. She claimed they were low cal and low sodium…I have yet to taste a good Texas fajita
that would fit that description. Billysia has SUCCEEDED with her health food where others have
